1. Verzamel goed materiaal

Gebruik stevige dozen, noppenfolie, tape en markeerstiften. Zwakke dozen scheuren onderweg.

Use sturdy boxes, bubble wrap, tape and markers. Weak boxes tear in transit.

2. Pak zwaar onderin, licht bovenin

Boeken onderin, kussens erbovenop. Zo blijft de doos stabiel en draagbaar.

Books on the bottom, cushions on top. This keeps the box stable and carryable.

Schrijf inhoud én de kamer waar de doos heen moet. Dat scheelt enorm bij het uitpakken.

Wikkel glas en serviesgoed individueel en vul holtes op zodat er niets schuift.

Wrap glass and crockery individually and fill gaps so nothing shifts.

5. Demonteer grote meubels

6. Pak een "eerste nacht"-doos

Stop spullen die je meteen nodig hebt apart: opladers, toiletspullen, een set kleding en wat keukenbenodigdheden. Zo hoef je op de eerste avond niet alle dozen open te maken.

Set aside the things you'll need right away: chargers, toiletries, a change of clothes and some kitchen basics. That way you won't have to open every box on the first evening.

7. Maak dozen niet te zwaar

Verdeel zware spullen zoals boeken over meerdere kleine dozen. Een te volle doos scheurt sneller en is lastig te tillen.

Spread heavy items like books across several small boxes. An overfilled box tears more easily and is hard to lift.

8. Houd kabels en kleine onderdelen bij elkaar

Doe kabels, afstandsbedieningen en schroefjes in hersluitbare zakjes en label ze. Maak een foto van je tv-aansluitingen voordat je alles loskoppelt.

Put cables, remotes and screws in resealable bags and label them. Take a photo of your TV connections before you unplug everything.

Draai doppen goed vast en verpak flessen en schoonmaakmiddelen in een aparte, waterdichte zak om lekkage over je spullen te voorkomen.

Tighten caps and pack bottles and cleaning products in a separate waterproof bag to prevent leaks over your belongings.

10. Label elke doos met kamer en inhoud

Schrijf op de zijkant (niet de bovenkant) de bestemmingskamer en een korte inhoud. Zo ziet ons team meteen waar elke doos heen moet op de nieuwe locatie.

Write the destination room and a short content list on the side (not the top). That way our team instantly knows where each box goes at the new place.
